Truly Beauty: What are your top five daily wellness tips for feeling your best?

Zara Brillo: I like to start my day with movement—it’s such a great way to feel energized and strong. Whether I’m skateboarding or surfing, I'm active every day. 

I also drink a lot of water to stay hydrated, which is so important for feeling good inside and out. Meditation is another big one, even if it’s just five minutes to reset my mind. 

At night, I use red light therapy before bed. It’s super calming and I wake up glowing. And sleep! I sleep as much as I can to recharge and feel my best.




Are there any wellness products you simply can’t live without?

Matcha is my go-to for a clean caffeine kick, and I love a green powder for liver cleansing. I’m also obsessed with gua sha. It feels amazing, especially when I’m feeling tired or stressed, and my skin looks noticeably smoother and glowier after using it.



When you’re having an off day, what’s your go-to pick-me-up?

Getting outside works wonders for me. I love skateboarding—it’s my favorite way to clear my head and have some fun. Soaking up some sunshine and staying active always make me feel good! 

I also use my favorite skincare products every day. They leave my skin smooth, shimmery, and radiant...and the scents? Tropical vacay vibes in a bottle. It’s like an instant mood lift, no matter what!



How do you wind down after a long day?

I love to keep things chill after a busy day. A bath is my ultimate way to unwind. I also enjoy cooking dinner and doing something creative, like art. It’s a great way to switch off and feel restored.



If there’s one wellness trend on social media you’d want to de-influence, what would it be?

Honestly, I think everyone should find what works for them, so I’m not big on de-influencing. That said, one trend I avoid is anything fasting-related, like working out without eating first. I need fuel to stay energized and feel my best.

How do you juggle staying active on social media with taking care of your mental health and overall wellness?
