Madison Beer’s Beauty Secrets

Since it first aired in mid-February, Madison Beer’s Vogue Beauty Secrets video has gained a lot of attention. And we can see why! The girl has some crazy good beauty tips to share! Still, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had skincare struggles. Much like the rest of us, Beer has had her own share of skincare issues, like acne. But she’s gradually found a way to deal with her complexion insecurities and develop a routine that works for her.
Let’s take a look at the star’s top beauty secrets below!
She Believes in the Power of a Good Skincare Routine
“I have struggled with my skin for the past, three years I would say?” says Beer, who shunned skin care for a long time in fear of worsening her acne. “I never really had acne growing up in my teenage years, it kind of hit me when I was, like, 19 to 20, and I’m now almost 22 and my acne is just starting to settle and go away.”
Thanks to some experimentation, Beer has now established a skincare routine that works for her and her acne.
Her routine comprises of an anti-microbial acne wash, cream skin toner & moisturizer, a rose quartz face roller, a skincare spritz, and an eye cream.

But She Swears by Soap and Water
And no, we don’t need mean on the face.
Back in 2018, in an interview with Glamour UK, Beer emphasized the importance of washing your makeup brushes, claiming that it was her number one beauty tip.
“I’m obsessed with make-up, but my top tip doesn’t actually involve any products,” admits Beer. “Beauty starts with glowing skin, and the way to ruin it is with dirty, clogged make-up brushes. I try to wash all my brushes every week, just using soap and warm water for a gentle clean. If I leave it too long without cleaning them I really notice the difference on my skin!”
Indeed, washing your makeup brushes is important. Did you know your brushes could be harboring bacteria and possibly even bugs? That’s why you need to clean them regularly – weekly, if possible!
And She Prioritizes Self-Care
Last May, Beer participated in Refinery29’s Feel Good Diaries, where she chronicled how she spends her days in quarantine. It turns out, she’s not much different to the rest of us. The woman loves a bath! Translated: we adore her!
“My favorite way to wind down and end the day is with a hot bath,” she says. “Today I’m using lavender essential oils and some Epsom salt to make for a really relaxing soak. I also usually light candles and listen to music to help myself unwind.” Sounds good to us!
She later adds, “When things feel too overwhelming, I practice a breathing exercise my therapist taught me, which always helps to ease my anxiety: Take a deep breath, hold it for five seconds, then release the air, along with any negative thoughts you’re holding on to.”

She Hardly Ever Wears Makeup
It might seem hard to believe when all you ever see of her are flawless Instagram selfies and stunning paparazzi snaps. But in real life, Madison Beer doesn’t wear much makeup.
“Ninety-nine percent of my days I don’t wear any makeup at all. I’m just too lazy, to be frank,” says Beer.
But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like wearing makeup. She loves it and feels inspired by it, in fact.
“It’s been really awesome to watch how much makeup has developed,” says Beer. “I think that, like, especially with TikTok, there are so many people I see that get so unbelievably creative with the things they do.” We couldn’t agree more!
Hoops Give Her that Pulled Together Feeling
“I can’t leave the house without my hoops—and if I do leave the house without my hoops, it’s a very strange, weird day for me,” Beer says in her Vogue video. “It just completes my whole vibe. Because then I can wear sweatpants and still feel like I did something.” We totally get that!
See sometimes, it’s not always about the specific products. Sometimes, you really can feel great just by wearing your favorite statement accessory. It can be a real confidence booster – and that’s just beautiful.
She Loves Truly’s Boobie Bundle
Turns out, Madison Beer is a Truly fan. Last year when we tweeted her offering her some Truly products to try, her response was: “Omg yes!!! I literally use your boob stuff.”
Boob stuff, you ask? She’s referring to our Acai Your Boobies products. We have three: a boob polish, serum, and butter.
